1. RER B — the cheapest
The RER B line links CDG directly to Paris (Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel) in about 40 min to Châtelet. You need the "Paris Region ↔ Airports" ticket at €14 (€7 reduced) — the standard €2.55 metro ticket is not valid to the airport. Buy it on the Île-de-France Mobilités, Bonjour RATP or SNCF Connect apps. Cheap and practical, but less comfortable with heavy luggage (stairs, crowds).
2. Taxi — fixed regulated flat rate
Paris taxis charge a fixed flat rate between CDG and Paris, whatever the traffic: €56 to the Right Bank, €65 to the Left Bank. Add a €4 (immediate) or €7 (advance) booking fee, and €5.50 per extra passenger from the 5th. Always take a taxi at the official rank outside the terminals — never follow touts inside the airport.
